How did this come to our attention?

Friends of Bukomansimbi promote better health and wellbeing through health awareness campaigns, community outreach programs, sanitation initiatives, and support for vulnerable individuals and families.

One of our key interventions is organizing community medical camps. These camps are designed to bring essential healthcare services directly to the people of Bukomansimbi and surrounding areas.

During these camps, residents receive services such as:

General medical check-ups
Blood pressure and diabetes screening
HIV testing and counseling
Maternal and child health services
Vaccination awareness and referrals
Health education on hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention

These camps are conducted in collaboration with healthcare professionals, volunteers, and partners who share the vision of improving community health.

The Story of us

How did this come to our attention?

Friends of Bukomansimbi is a community-driven initiative formed with a shared vision of improving the lives and wellbeing of people in Bukomansimbi District and surrounding areas. It brings together individuals, friends, and well-wishers who are passionate about supporting development, unity, and sustainable community growth.

The organization was born out of a growing concern about the daily challenges faced by many households in the region, including limited access to quality healthcare, education support gaps, poverty, and lack of structured community assistance systems. Instead of waiting for change, members came together with the belief that meaningful transformation begins with collective action.

From its early beginnings as a small network of friends, the group has grown into a platform that mobilizes support, coordinates community outreach, and connects people to essential services. Its foundation is built on values of compassion, solidarity, transparency, and service to the community.

Over time, Friends of Bukomansimbi has engaged in a range of activities aimed at improving lives, including supporting vulnerable families, promoting education awareness, organizing community sensitization programs, and participating in health-focused initiatives such as medical camps. These efforts have helped strengthen community awareness and provide direct assistance where it is most needed.
