These terms explain the rules for using the Friends of Bukomansimbi Charity Organisation website (friendsofbukomansimbi.org) and for making donations or volunteering through it. By using this website you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Using this website

• Please use the site lawfully and respectfully. Do not attempt to damage, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to it, send spam through our forms, or give false information.
• The text, images and other material on this site belong to us or are used with permission. You may share our pages and posts with credit to us, but you may not copy or reuse our material for commercial purposes without our written permission.
• Our site may link to other websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.

Donations

• All donations are voluntary gifts to support the work of Friends of Bukomansimbi Charity Organisation.
• You may choose the project you want to support. If that project receives more than it needs or can no longer go ahead, we may use your gift for our other charitable work in Bukomansimbi.
• Where an amount is shown in more than one currency, the conversion is approximate. The amount charged is the one shown to you at checkout.
• Payments are handled by third-party payment and mobile money providers. We do not store your card details or mobile money PIN. Any fees charged by your bank or provider are your responsibility.
• After a successful online payment we will send a confirmation to the email address you provide. Bank transfers are confirmed once we have verified them.
• Donations are generally non-refundable. If you donated by mistake or were charged an incorrect amount, please email us at info@friendsofbukomansimbi.org with your donation ID within 14 days and we will review your request and refund where appropriate.
• We can provide a written acknowledgement or receipt for your gift on request.

Volunteering

Applying to volunteer does not create an employment relationship or guarantee a placement. We may ask for further information and may decide whether and where a volunteer can help. Volunteers are expected to follow our guidance and to treat the communities we work with with respect and care.

Accuracy of information

We try to keep the information on this site accurate and up to date, including the descriptions, figures and progress of our projects, but it is provided as it is and may change. Please contact us if you notice an error.

Our responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this website or from things beyond our reasonable control, such as interruptions to the internet, payment or mobile money services. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that cannot legally be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of Uganda.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
