SUMMARY:Support Kayondo Charles\, Living with Hydrocephalus
DESCRIPTION:Kayondo Charles is 13 years old. \nCharles was born with Hydrocephalus. His parents have taken him to hospital for treatment\, but the ongoing costs have left them struggling. He needs regular check-ups and treatment\, and transport and medication alone cost around UGX 340\,000 a month. \nCharles also needs a special diet — fish\, meat\, rice and fruit — which is not always easy for his parents to afford. This food costs around UGX 100\,000 a month\, bringing his total ongoing care to roughly UGX 400\,000 (about US $120) a month. \nFriends of Bukomansimbi has opened a 12-month donation campaign to help cover a full year of Charles’s care. DESCRIPTION:Every school term\, families across Bukomansimbi struggle to afford scholastic materials\, uniforms and school fees for their children. The Back to School Drive is Friends of Bukomansimbi’s ongoing campaign to make sure no child misses school for lack of these essentials. \nYour donation helps provide exercise books and pens\, uniforms and shoes\, and school fees for children who would otherwise be unable to start or continue the term. \nWe are raising $10\,000 to support as many children as possible this year.
